INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS

Trail In Activities:

* Tuesday, Jan. 25th * "Square Dance & Luau By The Bay" Authentic Hawaiian Buffet by Kaneohe Bay, Oahu. Hula demonstrations, Hawaiian culture tour, buffet dinner, and Square Dancing. Round trip transportation available. Casual attire optional. Bus departs 3:30 p.m. Return 10 p.m. Advance reservations required. Host: Pali Twirlers, Kailua.

* Wednesday, Jan. 26th * "Trail-In Square and Round Dance" Dance in the air-conditioned comfort of the Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse. Club will host all local and visiting callers and cuers. $5.00 admission. Round Dance to Phase V at dancer’s request. Square Dance attire. 7:00 - 9:30 PM. Refreshments. Host: Square Wheelers, Honolulu.

Federation Festival Dance and Workshop Activities

Thursday, January 27^th through Saturday, January 29^th, 2005

Admission includes Festival Dances, Mainstream and Plus levels, Rounds at Ala Wai Golf Course Ballroom. Workshops on dance levels, styling, rounds, and special interest items included in Registration Fee.

Appropriate Square Dance attire required at all evening Festival dances and encouraged for workshops.

Trail - Out Activities:

* Sunday, Jan. 30th * "Whale Watching Cruise" 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Whale watching cruise aboard Star of Honolulu with Hawaiian luncheon buffet included. View Diamond Head, Waikiki, whales and dolphins. Local arts & crafts. Casual attire. Bus service to Aloha Tower available. Reservations required. Host: Tsunamis, Honolulu.

* Sunday, Jan. 30th * “ Aloha Sunday Night Dance” 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Sunday night club dance. Square and round dance in the air conditioned Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse Ballroom. All local and visiting callers and cuers welcome. Host: Square Wheelers, Honolulu.

VISITING CALLERS & CUERS. We enjoy hosting visiting callers and cuers at our Festival and we recognize and appreciate their contribution to the enjoyment of our dancing. Regretfully, due to declining attendance, we will be unable to provide complimentary Festival Registration Fees. We welcome your participation in the Wednesday Trail-in Dance on January 26th. If you desire to call or cue a tip, please coordinate with the Master of Ceremonies in the hall. First come, first served.....

TRANSPORTATION. Due to low demand in previous years, we have been unable to contract for dedicated bus service from Waikiki Hotels to the Festival dance hall. Car pools or taxi cabs are suggested. Cabs cost approximately $4-$7 depending on your hotel location. City Bus service is available but bus stop (Waikiki Library) is two blocks from Hall.

REFUNDS. All events and schedules are subject to change. It is the policy of the Hawaii Federation of Square Dance Clubs to make refunds of 100% of Festival registration fees up to January 1st, 2005. After January 1st there will be a $5 charge to cover expenses in preparing your Festival package. This refund includes all amounts paid for registration, badges, program, and Festival Date Bars only.  No Festival refunds after Jan. 17th, 2005.  Refunds for the special events, hosted by the individual clubs, may be different. The Federation has no responsibility or liability with regards to the Club sponsored activities. Please see the separate club flyers for their refund policies.

CONFIRMATION. You will receive a confirmation letter in December indicating that your registration application has been received and processed. Note the Control Number assigned to your package and reference it in any future correspondence and upon check-in. Check-in details will be included in your confirmation letter. Please be sure we know where you will be staying during the Festival. Hotel information is essential if you book bus transportation. Payment for all activities must be received with application. No credit will be extended. Reservations for special activities may be possible upon check-in but space is limited and normally sold-out. First come - first served.
